Lake Lure – www.townoflakelure.com

The “allure” of Lake Lure is strong and many a visitor have made that life-changing decision to relocate here, building homes and lives for themselves and their families.

The moment you arrive in Lake Lure, it is obvious you are surrounded by beauty, unsurpassed anywhere else in Western North Carolina. Our river, streams and waterfalls converge into a perfectly sized 720-acre man-made lake. The lake, hydroelectric dam and the community was the dream of one man who envisioned a premiere resort area.

Fly Fishing

Western North Carolina is an amazing place to catch, the all so ellusive and pesky, trout, bass and pan fish.  There are thousands and thousands of rivers, creeks and streams near The River Ministries Lodge.  The Green River, the Davidson River, the Tuckassegee River, the Mills River, the Rocky Broad River and the Packolet just to name a few.  We would encourage you to fish the Green River on the property for Smallmouth Bass and Bluegill but if you are chasing Rainbow, Brown or our native Brook Trout then the Green River around Green River Cove is the place to go closest to The Lodge.  You can strike out on your own or check out ones of our local guide services.
